Some varieties are ready to ship now. The Versa Plug is a 3801 flat of a single perennial or shrub variety. Each plug is about 2.3" round by 5.0" deep. Deep, vertical grooves in the wall of each plug encourages downward growth of the roots instead of spiraling. (See photos above.) For years, PGI has used these plugs for our own, in-house production needs, and now we are offering them publically. The flats are fully vernalized and are ready for shipping in early spring. Delivered at that time, they will be just emerging from winter dormancy. Growers can transplant these plugs into #1 containers and expect a full and ready-to-sell product in 4 - 6 weeks (even faster during the main growing season).
