Annuals
Annuals are still the "backbone" of the bedding plant industry and Palisade Greenhouse maintains a beautiful and colorful array of your favorite garden annuals. Our annuals are the highest quality garden performers we can find and include Proven Winners, Proven Selections and Simply Beautiful selections as well as many others. Our annuals are planted in staggered crops to provide each retailer with a continuous supply of flowers at just the right bloom stage. With more than 250 cultivars and over 55 species, we're confident you will find what you need. We produce our annuals in four main flat sizes, 10" and 12" baskets, #1 containers, window box planters and whiskey barrel and fiber inserts. We also carry the "Edger Box" (see below) for blooming, trailing transplants to various planters of your choice. You can check and see what we have ready to ship by viewing our Availability lists. If you have other questions about the readiness of our product, contact our sales office staff at sales@palisadegreenhouse.com or by calling 800.876.0254 ORNAMENTAL Herbs & Vegetables - These are vegetable or herb plants that can be grown as much for their ornamental look in containers or gardens as for their edible qualities. Look in the "Herbs & Vegetables" section of our catalog and watch for these "Ornamental Uses": Boxwood Basil, Artichoke, Bull's Blood Beet, 'Hansel' Eggplant, 'Apache' Peppers, Rumex, 'Fragoo' Strawberry Basket, Bright Lights Swiss Chard and Red Robin Tomato baskets. SUCCULENTS - PGI now carries the following "Proven Selections Savvy Succulents" for container gardening. Plant them outside in summer and bring inside for winter interest. We carry: Cotyledon, Crassula, Echeveria, Graptoveria, Kalanchoe, Orostachys and Portulacaria. 3201 HERB FLATS and Mixed Herb Window Boxes The 3201 has a total of 32 cells of either a single herb or in the mixed flat, a total of eight herb varieties. The mixed flat will not have Rosemary or Lavender, BUT WILL INCLUDE: basil, chives, cilantro, marjoram, oregano, parsley, sage and thyme. We also have some varieties of Thyme, Mint and Lavender produced in #1 pots and we have a limited number of Rosemary topiaries. The HERB WINDOW BOX is a 14" long box, pre-planted with some of the same varieties and should please the beginning herb gardener because there is no labor investment in getting a producing herb garden started. VEGETABLES Palisade Greenhouse carries a great selection of many vegetable garden favorites that can give your customers that important head start as opposed to planting from seed. See the Herbs and Vegetables section of our catalog for a complete list. Most of our vegetables are available in 1801 or 3201 flats, and we have tomatoes and peppers in #1 pots as well. Strawberries are produced in an 804 flat exclusively, and now a 10" basket. Ask about our mixed tomato flat. They can save the retailer money over having to purchase complete flats of just one variety. These vegetables are a great spring seller! THE EDGER BOX This is a 24" long by 6" wide, tapered box divided into two compartments lengthwise. Each box is planted with a single "Spiller" type plant that can be transplanted into your choice of planter for an instant, colorful, cascading border. Just prior to shipping, the divider is removed. The end user will have two strips measuring 24" by 2.5" to make a total border of 48". The Edger Box is planted in these varieties: Bacopa, scaevola or sweet potato vine.
