About Palisade Greenhouse, Inc.
The current owners of Palisade Greenhouse, Tom and Carolyn McKee, acquired the present facility in 1976. The business started with ten old, wooden houses for production of tomatoes. These were converted to growing potted plants & flowers, bedding plants, and cut flowers for a local grocery chain.
In the early 1980's, with the help of two partners, the facility was greatly expanded with the addition of enclosed, heated structures. Along with potted and cut flowers, bedding plants were added to the inventory. In 1987, the McKee's acquired full ownership of the facility and have maintained sole ownership since.
In the early 1990's, production was shifted to bedding plants exclusively. Over the last several years, the production of a wide variety of annuals, perennials and potted containers has been greatly expanded. In addition, a new product line has been added called the Versa Plug. Today, Palisade Greenhouse, Inc., carries over 65 annual species and hundreds of annual cultivars; numerous herbs & vegetables; nearly 150 distinct species of perennials and over 600 cultivars. We are continually growing and expanding, reviewing our inventory and looking for the best plants for our variable climate in this Rocky Mountain region. All of this is to serve you and your customers better. We are committed to selling the highest quality plants at affordable prices.
